Induction Ceremony

June 29, 2024

Venue and Decor
The Magellan, San Vitores, and San Vicente function rooms were beautifully set up, with fresh flower centerpieces representing the gold colors of Rotary, and the appetizing edibles creating a stunning ambiance. The paired blue napkins truly reflected the colors of Rotary. Many Rotarians commented on how well-decorated the venue was, contributing to the overall positive atmosphere and beautiful ambiance.

Event Timing
Though we started 30 minutes late to accommodate the majority of guests, we managed to keep the program on track, ending by 9:30 PM as planned. The food lived up to the Hyatt's reputation, delighting everyone with its great taste. The edible chicken wings centerpieces sponsored by PP Anna and the mushroom soup, known to be the best at Hyatt, were amazing. The plated service was well-timed in its delivery.

Guests
Two Alumni Rotarians joined us: PP Chita Blaise and DPP Chris Duenas. ADG Phil Hagen (RC Guam); Sec. Jen Camacho (RC Tumon Bay); PP Robbie Bautista (Rotaract Club of the Marianas) shared the evening to transform Hope to Magic.

Highlights and Achievements
A notable highlight was the raffle, which featured an impressive 23 prizes and raised $650—our highest raffle revenue in the past four years, thanks to DPP Ed and Dir Ben. Particularly exciting was the presentation of legislative certificates of recognition by Senator Chris Barnett, which added significant symbolic recognition to the accomplishments of our board.

Program and Atmosphere
The music snippets used to introduce different parts of the program added a fun element. Although they weren't perfectly timed, it enhanced the atmosphere. Good conversations were observed throughout the evening. The emcee aimed to balance humor and ceremony, though some of his attempts at jokes didn't quite land. The somewhat formal ceremony was crucial to maintain a serious tone to honor DPP. Joey’s achievements and the board, and our notable members who stepped up.

Acknowledgments
Grateful to PP Anna and P. John, whose dedication and countless hours were instrumental in the event's success. Anna's floral arrangements from Donki and her connections with the Hyatt significantly enhanced our decorations and ensured excellent value for the plated meal service.
Truly appreciate DPP Joey’s efforts to significantly improve our guest's attendance.

The induction ceremony was a meaningful and memorable occasion that celebrated our club's achievements and unity.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this evening a success.
