The idea of organizing the Rotary Club of Northern Guam was the brainchild of District Governor Senju Satoh and Rotary International Vice-President Kyozo Yuaza who were both under Rotary District 358.
 
Through the combined efforts and dedication of the Rotary Clubs of Guam and Tumon Bay, the Rotary Club of Northern Guam was organized on Sept. 17, 1975 at the Guam Hilton Hotel.
 
On November 12, 1975, Rotary International advised the organizers by cable that RCNG has been admitted and its charter approved.
R.I. District 358 Governor Ichiro Matsudaira presented the charter to President William Thomasson during the Charter Presentation Night at the Guam Reef Hotel on December 13, 1975.
