A few words from PP Roberto Fracassini
Hafa Adai fellow Rotarians
On Tuesday July 23, your club’s Board had a very successful meeting during which several new issues were discussed. This means that what I have to give you now are the customary good news and bad news.
I’ll start with the bad news: as a consequence of the inflationary effect of the COVID-19, the Board, in its infinite wisdom, has decided to raise your membership from $50 a month to $100 .
Just kidding ! No worries!
Membership cost will remain the same but...the ones of you with fat receivables (you know who you are) are strongly advised to transfer some garbanzos in the Club account. Otherwise I’ll be obligated to make a phone call to New York. To my Goodfellas Paesani specializing in collections, broken legs and so on.
So far for the bad news, Now for the good news:
Gambling will be reinstated with the Queen of Hearts card game so if you will be lucky enough to win, you will not need another stimulus check from Uncle Sam.
Raffle will be religiously implemented at every meeting. And the prizes? They will be kindly donated by members (two members with two prizes each meeting) whose names will be indicated in advance in our chat room. Value of the prizes should be above $5. Old shoes and T-shirts will not be considerate suitable by the raffling committee.
In order to give a good example, it will be me and PADG-super Rotarian Joe Rios who will provide the raffle prizes for our August 5 meeting.
New opening songs will be presented. The RCNG musical director Roberto Fracassini has selected for your consideration these two:
What a Wonderful World and Over the Rainbow.
Only first verse. Lyrics will be provided, but if you wish to pass the Club’s musical examination,
PRACTICE...PRACTICE ..PRACTICE
